What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Maltby Manor Academyfor an excellent Caretaker to work with an experienced and highly motivated team of professionals.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and talented professional to work with the Trust Leader of Premises and Estates and the Principal to assist in the maintenance of the site and other duties associated with the development of the Academy’s premises and grounds.

Maltby Manor Academy already has a strong team of professionals delivering high quality learning in and out of the classroom who work together to achieve our Academy vision ‘to deliver exceptional learning experiences that enable all young people to thrive in a competitive world and lead successful and fulfilling lives.’ If you feel you would like to be a part of that team and could make a valuable contribution to ensuring our students have high quality, inspirational well maintained learning environments in which to learn, we would like to hear from you.

A visit to the Academy, so you can meet the Principal, Leader of Premises and Estates and key members of the team is warmly encouraged, to enable you to discuss the post in more detail.

The ideal candidate will:

  • be positive, with a strong work ethic and sense of humour.
  • have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain premises to a high standard.
  • have good knowledge of skilled trades, health and safety and buildings and grounds maintenance procedures.
  • have good communication skills.
  • have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • be committed to Maltby Learning Trust's Vision and Values and the Academy's Core Learning Characteristics.
