Senior Co-Educator for Behaviour and SEMH job summary
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide direct support for students with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties and to work with and help facilitate those student’s successful inclusion in school life and to provide supervision for students during dysregulation.
To work in partnership with staff to support learning in line with the Curriculum, Codes of Practice and School Policies and Procedures.
To provide support and strategies that enhance the existing provision in order to facilitate learning, reduce barriers to learning, improve attainment, educational outcomes and promote self-confidence and the emotional well-being of pupils.
To work with teachers as part of a professional team to support in the delivery of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils with a focus on meeting their behavioural and SEMH needs.
To lead and deliver group interventions or 1:1 to support pupils learning needs.
To encourage a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
To contribute to school’s wider knowledge and skills in behaviour management.
To manage the development of individual plans, the implementation of these plans and the support for staff and students to ensure their success.
