We’re looking for a new school cook to lead the preparation of daily meals for our pupils. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, balanced meals in line with school food standards, while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Over these summer holidays we are having a brand new kitchen refurbishment at Marshland too!

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook healthy, well-balanced meals for pupils and staff.

  • Order and manage kitchen stock within budget.

  • Ensure high standards of hygiene, health and safety, and food safety.

  • Supervise any kitchen staff or assistants as required.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience in a similar cooking or catering role (school kitchen experience is a bonus, but not essential).

  • Holds a relevant Food Hygiene Certificate (although training for this can be provided).

  • Is organised, reliable and works well independently or as part of a team.

  • Enjoys working around children and supports a friendly, inclusive school environment.
