Senior Educational Teaching Assistant - Behaviour/Mentor job summary
We are keen to appoint an enthusiastic colleague to join our pastoral support team. The focus of your work will be with children that need additional support. You will give support both inside and outside the classroom.
The job will involve:
providing in-class support
one-to-one mentoring
small group support
running interventions
assisting the work of the SENDCo.
finding innovative ways to engage children in their learning
Skills/Experience required:
supporting students with challenging behaviour
strong classroom presence and a flexible approach
ability to work under challenging circumstances, with a passion for education and SEN/behavioural difficulties
confident in delivering a firm but fair approach
empathetic, patient and uses their initiative when working with children
flexible and has experience of working with KS2 children
enjoys working as part of a team
able to support teaching and learning in PE
