Senior Facilities Manager job summary
Line manages, develop, and support the facilities team, ensuring they are appropriately trained in the effective operation and use of all building management systems, mechanical and electrical plant, tools and work equipment, curriculum, and sports equipment.
To ensure all contracts relating to facilities (e.g., Cleaning, Refuse and Waste) are in place and appropriate.
To assist with the maintenance of facilities utilising internal resources or by external contract within delegated budgets.
To standardise/harmonise facilities contract across the Trust ensuring best practise and value for money.
To monitor delegated budgets, liaising with finance leads regarding any required budget forecasts.
To negotiate, procuring and monitoring of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), under the direction of line management.
To seek out opportunities to improve the delivery of the facilities services and potential efficiency savings.
Drive operational excellence using developed and appropriate metrics (Service Level Agreements (SLAs) / Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
To provide technical/expert advice to stakeholders in relation to health and safety, contracted and managed services; asset management; statutory compliance and commercial efficiency.
To support the Trust in the delivery of business and trading activities by working collaboratively with stakeholders.
Working the stakeholders, plan and implement capital projects, applying professional standards and techniques. Apply a structured methodology and support change management activities utilising resource to create project plans and delivery project plans successfully.
Maintain effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Strong and demonstrable experience of leading multi-site teams.
Assist the facilities team in areas such as investigation, insurance claims and collate relevant information as required.
To follow and enforce Trust policies in relation to ordering and authorisation of payment.
To ensure that all safeguarding protocols are met by all contractors.
To act as a point of contact for emergency and out-of-hours callouts.
To support the facilities team with lettings as required and accurate reporting procedures in place and reportable.
To implement Trust sustainability agendas in relation to facilities.
To act as an ambassador for the Trust.
