The Governors of Cardinal Griffin Catholic College are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Family Support Worker to enhance our pastoral support team. The ideal candidate will:
• Have a good working knowledge of Safeguarding in a school context
• Be confident and skilled in developing professional relationships with families and pupils
• Be proactive, flexible and an action taker
• Be able to work constructively as part of a team, within a clear set of boundaries
• Be organised, capable of working with minimal supervision and skilled at maintaining documentation
• Have experienced of managing complex issues relating to pupil welfare / behaviour
• Have a professional approach to their work
• Ideally hold at least a level 4 safeguarding qualification or be willing to achieve this
This is a new role and there will be considerable scope to shape this around the skills and experience of the successfully appointed candidate. Support and training will be available as will the experience of an existing team of pastoral staff.

We are extremely proud of our ethos which comes in very large part from our Jesuit Associate School membership and Catholic Diocesan heritage. This teaches us to be grateful for the gift of teaching that we have and to be generous in using it for the good of our pupils.
