What skills and experience we're looking for
The IT arrangements in each of our schools are
critical in supporting the delivery of a world-class education. This role involves leading the support and
develop of the IT infrastructure within Altrincham Grammar school for Girls. We
are looking for applicants who have a broad background in desktop computing and
IT network support, have good project management and communication skills and
will be familiar supporting a range of Microsoft server and desktop
applications, both locally and cloud-hosted. The ideal candidate will be
familiar with ITIL service desk concepts and have experience managing direct
reports.
The role holder will have line management responsibility for the IT and resource technicians based in the school. As part of the team, role holders will be responsible for the monitoring and resolution of IT and network related issues and queries. Effective communication with stakeholders is a key skill required of the post holder.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in providing a high level of user support, using an IT service desk based on ITIL principles and will play a key role in the delivery of IT projects. They will also liaise closely with the Trust’s Digital IT Manager, on IT matters affecting both AGGS and schools across the Trust as a whole.

Terms and Conditions
Salary: NJC scale points 26 to 30 (Bright Futures scale G7). The full time equivalent pay is £32,909 rising to £36,298 per annum. Pay progression is linked to performance.
Working weeks: 52 weeks but please discuss any requests for flexible working at interview
Hours: 36.25 hours per week over 5 days. Flexible working will be considered, please discuss at interview if you wish this to be considered.
Holidays: You will be paid for the prorate equivalent of 26 days, plus 8 public holidays. This increases to 31 days plus 8 public holidays after 5 years’ service.
