What are we looking for?

Join the Operational Team at Hereford Church of England Academy as our Senior IT Technician and play a vital role in ensuring our technology and resources enable staff and students to focus on education. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suitable for a proactive and reliable individual with strong technical and interpersonal skills at an Academy currently investing in IT..

As Senior IT Technician, you will:

provide a proactive and reactive response and reliable technical support to ensure continuity and reliability of IT in all areas, ensuring all systems are safe and robust, including with regard to cyber security.

maintain and troubleshoot all IT, audio-visual, reprographics and communications systems, ensuring seamless delivery that meets the needs of the school.

develop safe working practices and environments, providing staff training where appropriate.

maintain up-to-date records of all equipment, licences and consumables and disposal in accordance with relevant protocols

work with partners and service providers to improve the infrastructure and maximise the efficiency of The Academy systems

This will be an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, at an Academy currently investing significantly in the IT infrastructure and technology. We seek an appropriately qualified and experienced member of staff to help us make the most of this opportunity. You will have previous experience of windows networking, ideally gained in a school environment, combined with excellent team working skills and the ability to work independently with initiative.
