Watling Academy is seeking a dedicated IT Technician to join our innovative team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in our Cloud migration journey, working within a collaborative Trust IT team.

As an IT Technician, you will provide technical support to staff and students, ensuring the daily operation of the school’s IT systems and infrastructure. This includes managing LAN, switching, firewalls, and cabling, as well as user accounts and access permissions on both Prem AD and Azure AD. You will oversee the Microsoft 365 environment, including Security, Endpoint Manager, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams, while monitoring and managing security alerts and maintaining system backups.

Your responsibilities will also include troubleshooting issues with interactive whiteboards and other school technologies, assisting in the setup and repair of end-user devices and supporting website updates. Maintaining clear documentation, collaborating with IT contractors, and contributing to the Trust's IT network development will be key aspects of your role.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong knowledge of Windows Server networks, proficiency in the Microsoft 365 environment and excellent documentation and project management skills. Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning are highly valued.

Watling Academy was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in May 2023 and is a purpose-built 11-18 secondary school in its fourth year of operation, located within the Whitehouse development on the western expansion area of Milton Keynes.
