Senior Learning Support Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Learning Support Assistant to work closely with the SENCO/Deputy SENCO to provide support for pupils, teachers and the school raising standards of achievement for all pupils, to encourage pupils to become independent learners, to ensure their safety and welfare and support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life.
Salary: TA3 £20,444 to £24,920 FTE
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 TED days
Start date: 1 September 2022

Hanley Castle High School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school of approximately 1,050 students, including a flourishing sixth form. The school gained academy status in 2011 and in April 2017 our articles of association as an academy were amended to form the Hanley and Upton Educational Trust (MAT). This formalised close links with Hanley Swan and Kempsey primary schools. In January 2019 Welland primary school also became a member of the MAT.
