Senior Office Manager job summary
We are looking for an excellent and enthusiastic Senior Office Manager to lead the smooth running of the school office and assist with the daily life of the school at Adderley, as well as carry out finance processes. At Adderley Nursery School, we pride ourselves on our warm and family-feel approach from the very first stage of communication with families.
Our admin staff and leaders work collaboratively to run the offices - the centre of our schools - to a high standard. Within the senior office manager role, it can be expected that usual running the school office tasks and responsibilities apply, with the addition of plenty of children and parent/carer contact at several points during each day. We provide nursery education for children aged 9mths-5 years. The successful candidate will be professional, able to work under pressure and demonstrate initiative. They will be able to multitask and manage a varied workload. They will have strong ICT, literacy and communication skills.
The Birmingham Federation of Maintained Nursery schools is made up of 9 Nursery Schools delivering inclusive high-quality early education and care to children aged 0-5 years across Birmingham. We have a vibrant and enthusiastic staff of qualified teachers, teaching assistants, nursery officers, play workers, administrators and other support staff who make up our large team.
As well as exceptional and inclusive provision for children and families, we are committed to professional development. We provide opportunities for learning and collaboration within Adderley Nursery school itself, working alongside leaders and the wider Federation.
Our settings are culturally diverse with many languages spoken. We have a reputation for supporting children with a range of complex special educational needs and disabilities, as well as support for families who may have additional challenges in their lives.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children and expect our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Suitability checks will be undertaken including background, identity, qualification, work history and two professional references.
If you are interested in this challenge, with the support of both an experienced team of leaders across the Federation and an experienced team of staff at Adderley Nursery School, we would like to hear from you. Visits to the school are most welcome with prior arrangement. Please contact Nicky Hinchliff (Headteacher) on enquiry@addleyn.bham.sch.uk to arrange an appointment.
