What skills and experience we're looking for
Delta Academies Trust are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Payroll & Pensions Officer to join the Core Team as soon as possible on a full-time (37 hours per week, all year round), permanent basis. As the Senior Payroll & Pensions Officer, you will provide a specialised Payroll and Pensions Service for all employees of the Trust, by managing your own workload and providing sound and prompt tailored advice to queries / academy needs.
Salary: Grade F points 14 – 19 (£27,334 to £29,777).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- You will be the primary contact and have responsibility for the payroll processing for an allocated group of academies
- You will monitor and ensure the correct payments for employees on Maternity/Adoption Leave and Long-Term Sickness, informing employees about changes in pay where applicable
- You will carry out checking processes on Primary Academy payrolls as directed by the Payroll Team Leader
- You will be responsible for the reconciliation of payroll deductions
- You will carry out general pension administrative duties including, but not limited to:
- Coordinating and accurately preparing monthly LGPS/ Teachers’ Pension returns and reconciliation of contributions for authorisation by the Payroll and Pensions Team Leader

- Minimum of 5 years Payroll experience (desirable)
