Senior Science Lab Technician
37 hours per week / term time only (including 5 Training Days)

(Level 4B Point Range 15 – 18 (depending on experience) £23,541.00 - £24,982.00 pro rata
(Actual salary range will be £20,407.00 - £21,656.00)

We are looking to appoint a flexible, enthusiastic and hardworking Senior Science Lab Technician to join our Science faculty. The successful candidate does not have to have experience of working in a laboratory or school but must have a willingness to learn.
This is a great opportunity for a hard-working and friendly team player who is able to demonstrate:
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to show initiative and be self-organised
• Possess logical planning skills and good attention to detail
• Ability to plan and regulate workload
Working in a school requires you to have strong organisational and communication skills. There will be face to face interaction with students and members of staff.

Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4. ‘A’ Level results are also very good with over half at ‘A*’, ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded, oversubscribed and situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London.
