Senior Science Technician job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Senior Science Technician, to work under the guidance of the Head of faculty and reporting to the HR Manager, to be responsible for the organisation and co-ordination, use and development of practical resources to help meet the practical requirements of the Science curriculum. The post holder, will liaise with staff across the school and external agencies, ensure relevant polices/codes of practice/legislation are being adhered by. The successful candidates will: • Be able to work independently and with initiative • Be interested in the development of young people • Have good communication skills • Be energetic, well-motivated and flexible • Have a professional manner and plenty of common sense • Be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent • Have prior experience of the Science technician role • Understanding of polices and legislations that are imperative to a safe environment
