About this Role

TITLE:  Senior Science Technician

GRADE:  Grade E, Points 12-15

HOURS/WEEKS:  37 hours per week / 39 weeks per year

WORKING PATTERN:  Monday to Thursday – 8am to 4pm; Friday – 8am to 3:30pm (these timings include a daily unpaid break of 30 minutes)

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Executive Headteacher via Head of Science

EFFECTIVE FROM:  ASAP

We want to ‘inspire learners and change lives’ – and that includes our staff. We want to empower our teams, so pupils are ready to be kind, confident and impactful world citizens. To help us, we wish to appoint a Senior Science Technician to join our existing team, helping to support our large science department to deliver exceptional lessons.

The successful candidate will be proactive, approachable, calm, and professional. You will ideally have experience of working in a school environment and have an awareness of health and safety issues relating to school science. Awareness of CLEAPSS and/or COSHH regulations would be an advantage, as would chemical laboratory experience.
