We are looking for a Senior Science Technician who would like to join our dynamic and successful school; someone who would like to be part of a friendly and hard-working team.
The successful candidate will:
• Be flexible, willing to learn and to fit in with the changing needs of the Science Department
• Have a technical knowledge of Science and the necessary skills and experience to carry out the duties of a Senior Laboratory Technician
• Have the ability to effectively organise both their own work and that of the team
• Be able to operate systems relating to laboratory organisation, including the keeping of written/financial records
• Have the knowledge of Health and Safety issues relating to school laboratories and prep rooms
• Work well as a team member and have tact and sensitivity in dealing with people
• Show initiative and have the ability to work independently
• Enjoy working energetically in a very busy and demanding environment
• Believe in the importance of teamwork and a collaborative approach
• Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in their approach with a pro-active approach to problem solving
• Be a positive team player, willing to pitch in and help out where needed and believe in the importance of team work and a collaborative approach
• Be committed to the principles and practice of inclusion and equal opportunities for all
