What skills and experience we're looking for
SABDEN Alternative Provision is comprised of two schools within East Sussex; The Workplace, a vocational free school based in Bexhill-on-Sea and College Central, a Pupil Referral Unit, based across two sites, Eastbourne and Hastings.
SABDEN AP is seeking to appoint an outstanding Lead Senior Teacher of Science, with experience of delivering Science at GCSE level. You have a clear commitment to working with challenging & vulnerable pupils and have evidence of high quality outcomes and classroom management. You are an innovative thinker, who works well as part of a team. You are committed to professional development, and to setting ambitious goals and challenges for pupils and yourself.
The Lead Teacher of Science will be primarily based at The Workplace and they will be expected to lead and collaborate with the Science/General Subjects Teachers at College Central, implementing and being responsible for the strategic leadership and delivery of Science across SABDEN AP schools.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player and be committed to raising the standards within SABDEN AP. This is a rare opportunity to join us and be part of our expanding team, which provides an outstanding service for pupils in the Bexhill-on-Sea, Hastings and Eastbourne areas.

The Workplace is an aspirational and innovative Alternative Provision Free School in East Sussex which opened in September 2020. The Workplace provides industry relevant education for students in year 9-11 which is high quality, based on partnerships and focused on enterprise. It offers students a strong grounding in Math's, English, Science and Enterprise alongside quality provision in one of six vocational areas (Hairdressing & Barbering, Hospitality & Catering, Multi-trades construction, Automotive, Sports & Fitness and Arts & Creativity).
