What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the leadership team at Risedale School.
If you are an exceptional and inspirational leader, passionate about teaching and learning and looking for a new challenge then we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a person with drive and personal ambition who will continue to inspire and enthuse our staff to want to develop their classroom practice. The role will require an individual who can demonstrate resilience, tenacity and commitment but also has experience in delivering innovative teaching and training methods to achieve improved academic outcomes.
What the school offers its staff
The school offers all employees bespoke training and support; a highly cohesive and supportive staff team; outstanding CPD including up to date individualised action research; the opportunity to develop skills and interest through extra-curricular clubs and a chance to join Risedale at a very important point in the school’s development.
Further details about the role
Risedale has come on a very exciting journey and we want to continue this with your input. We are looking for someone to deliver newness, innovation, excitement and creativity to continue the journey beyond its current evolution. Following the retirement of our successful senior leader in charge of Teaching and Learning, we do not want to lose our focus, purpose or direction in this area. We have in the last two Ofsted inspections secured good in all areas; Quality of Education being absolutely key. Senior and middle leaders have worked hard to create a culture of sharing, coaching and exploring the most effective approaches in the classroom. For example, we are already a leader in online learning (Google Classroom based) ensuring every child has a personal laptop device that they take home each day. We want to recruit someone who can drive the growth in expert classroom practice. But there is always more that can be achieved and we need a new colleague who can take this agenda forward. What is going to be the most important aspect of practice we need to focus on as a school? Where are we in the development of our pedagogical approaches? This is for YOU to decide! Are you the person to continue this journey for Risedale?
