What skills and experience we're looking for
Think you know The Willows? Think again..
Welcome to a new era where high educational expectations and empathetic connections are at the heart of our mission to improve lives; a place where children are challenged and inspired to be Fun, Involved, Self-aware Heroes.
We are building a fortress where our ethos and curriculum will enable children to wonder about, experience and feel their world, gaining skills and knowledge that will inspire big dreams about what they can become and self-worth so they value who they are.
We need your skills and enthusiasm to make our vision a reality and having taken our first steps we are now seeking an experienced champion of children (senior teacher) who has a passion for developing others to join our team.
In your role as senior teacher you will use your knowledge, creativity and ability to quickly establish rapport and routine with colleagues, children and the community. We need you to share and model your command of our craft and bring your up to date knowledge of educational research and enthusiasm for collaborative working to support and develop teachers at all stages of their career.
Working as a member of the senior leadership team and in collaboration with them your main responsibilities will be managing the CPD programmes for all staff including ECT and ITT as well as induction and probation processes. You will also work closely with the SENCo to enable interventions, seeking opportunities for tuition and external provider support and ensuring a small group of children accessing off site provisions are monitored and cared for.
There is no doubt that you will need resilience, creativity and kindness to meet the challenges that each day will bring at our school but by joining us you will be ensuring the children at The Willows get the inspiring educational opportunities and experience they need and deserve.
So why not be ‘the change you want to see in the world’ and apply to work with us.
Visits to our school are most welcome - we can’t wait to meet you.
What the school offers its staff
A forward-thinking school that encourages self-motivated continuing professional development.

The opportunity to plan with colleagues to ensure a rich and inclusive curriculum offer.
Trust in your professional capabilities and support for you to realise your innovative ideas.
A school where you will be enabled to make your mark and you will really know you are making a difference in the lives of children.
A warm welcome from our wonderful children when you visit

At The Willows we are all on a journey to become successful learners, with curious children and dedicated staff all striving to be the very best they can be. Working at the heart of the community, we are also seeking to bring opportunities for learning to parents and families so we can work in partnership to support our children.
Placing the children at the heart of all we do here at The Willows, means we are constantly looking for new and exciting opportunities to enhance the learning and research that supports the approaches we take.
This is evident as we continue to build a curriculum that not only challenges but also inspires the children, placing experiences and creativity at the centre of their learning experience. A curriculum that also values the development of positive attitudes, social skills and service to others, creating resilient and tolerant citizens who want to change their world for the better.
Alongside our high expectations of how the children can behave and what they can achieve academically; it is also our mission to ensure that The Willows is filled with the magic of childhood where a ‘wow’ moment is never far away.
If you would like to know more about our school and the journey of improvement that we are currently on please do not hesitate to contact our friendly office team who will be pleased to help.
We look forward to meeting you soon and sharing a little more of our wonderful world with you.
