We are seeking a new Site Assistant to join our well-established team.

You will deliver a high quality service in and around the school, prioritising agreed tasks and delivering them to agreed deadlines in a friendly manner, whilst always taking pride in our school. The principle duties that come with the role are will be to:
Perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance of school buildings, including plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Maintain safe and tidy school grounds,
- Organise and carry out minor improvement work
- Be flexible with shift work to cover eventualities which may occur.
Enthusiasm and a willingness to adapt are considered essential skills. We would love to hear from you if you feel that you have the qualities that we require in this role.
As well as supporting Cheney School, the post holder may be expected to support other schools in the River Learning Trust from time to time.
Salary:
- Base Salary: £26,824 - £29,064 per annum (based on 37 hours; pro-rata for part-time appointments)
- Shift Allowance: £2,441.30 per annum
- Total Potential Earnings: £29,265.30 - £31,505.30 per annum
Working Hours and Leave:
- Standard Work Week: 37 hours. The post is open to part time (minimum 15 hours per week) or full time applicants (37 hours per week), with the opportunity to earn additional income through overtime and weekend shifts for holiday cover.
- Annual Leave: 25 days paid holiday, plus bank holidays. This is a very competitive holiday allowance, exceeding the UK statutory minimum.
- Contract type: Initially fixed term for 12 months, with possibility of extension.
The role involves alternating shift work: Early (6.00am- 2.00pm) / Late (8 hours between 10am and 22:30 depending on service requirements).
