Salary: Band B Point 7 - 12

8 hours per week

Wednesday 7.00am – 3:30pm, 30-minute lunch break (unpaid)

38 weeks of the year – term time plus inset days

Start Date: January 2025

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, pro-active, and hardworking Site Assistant, to join our school as part of the site team to support the school. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive support service including key holding, security and janitorial duties and assist in the general maintenance and cleaning of the school.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Practical; with good DIY skills
  • A hands-on individual who can maintain, develop and implement systems & procedures
  • Able to contribute to projects and maintenance schedules 
  • Self-motivated and willing to work on your own initiative  
  • Adaptable regarding hours of work to meet the needs of the school
  • Able to communicate effectively with contractors and central functions 

The role involves overseeing the school facilities and managing security procedures, including keyholder responsibilities for emergencies. Duties include supporting lettings and after-school activities, addressing maintenance, and ensuring cleanliness and safety of external areas. Tasks also cover minor repairs, drainage upkeep, monitoring heating systems, and emergency cleaning. The role requires liaising with contractors, handling deliveries, and addressing staff and public enquiries, all while adhering to health and safety regulations.
