Site Manager job summary
Ermine Street Church Academy is on an exciting learning journey and we would love you to join us! Located 10 minutes drive away from Huntingdon and with access off the A1, we are conveniently located.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, and enthusiastic Site Manager to work 37 hours per week to ensure the smooth running of the school in respect of the premises, through the management of planned and reactive maintenance and the development of capital projects for improvement. The role will include one day per week working at St Mary's CofE Primary School St Neots.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Site management or Facilities and experience of working in property or building maintenance services.
We are a growing school, having been open for 6 years, increasing from 10 children on roll to more than 245 so far so, there is always plenty opportunities to develop and grow with us. In 2019 we were graded as a GOOD school by both Ofsted and SIAMS. We are seeking to appoint a high quality and proactive site manager to join our dedicated and friendly team.
You will be responsible for the management of the Ermine Street Church Academy site to deliver a high-quality learning and working environment. You will work proactively with the headteacher to ensure strong operational continuity.
As the Site Manager you will be expected to work the hours to meet the demands of the post. This may mean that there will be fluctuations with this work especially during school term time as you will be responsible for opening/closing the school.
The successful candidate will:
- have experience in site or facilities management
- have experience working in building or property maintenance services
- be competent in basic building repairs and maintenance
- have the ability to problem solve
- be proactive
- be a team player, with a ‘can do’ solution focused attitude
- possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity
