Site Manager job summary

George Salter Academy is a friendly, happy and vibrant 11-18 academy, serving a multi-cultural community and we are seeking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Site Manager to lead on day-to-day maintenance and site management. Significant experience as a caretaker, site supervisor or a similar role is essential.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for ensuring the safety and upkeep of the academy premises and grounds, in line with guidance and relevant legislation. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Line management of the Site Team
• To act as lead on the academy’s energy management strategies
• Support with the management of Health and Safety across the academy site
• Liaison with and supervision of contractors
• Plan and carry out repairs and maintenance of the academy site
• Act as key holder, opening or closing the site and alarm call out response
