Vacancy for Site Manager
Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 8, Points 19-24 (£31,067-£34,314).
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Site Manager to join our Site Team at Meridian Trust! You will have an important role in improving the productivity of the Trusts sites and to complete pre-planned maintenance programmes in collaboration with the Estates Area Manager and Principals. This role will be responsible for all aspects of site management, including a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the grounds of the school (security, monitoring contracts/contractors, lettings and more),
The opportunity
- Take pride in ensuring the academy buildings are fit for purpose and all planned maintenance is completed as required in a timely manner.
- Oversee the planning and scheduling of premises development plans, including energy conservation is progressed by costing and planning projects to ensure best value.
- Carry out regular maintenance and testing on fire and security systems, ensuring relevant policies and procedures are in place and updated as required.
- Manage an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) regime ensuring that all equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturers guidance and best practice
- Develop and promote the use of our Iamcompliant Help Desk, ensure all Site Team staff are trained and competent in the use of the HelpDesk.
- Review and report on energy consumption in your buildings using our Energy Portal as well as tracking electricity consumption from our PV arrays.
- Review and write H&S Risk Assessments in support of your own activities on site.Working with the local Trust Accountant to prepare and manage budgets.
The ideal candidate
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently when needed.
- Ability to work closely with others and provide supportive feedback and guidance.
- Using own initiative to be proactive in ensuring tasks are completed.
- Time management skills.
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge, able to deliver a safe environment for all building users, contractors and the Site Team., preferably holding a recognised H&S qualification, for example NEBOSH or IOSH
- Confident in the use of IT systems
