What skills and experience we're looking for

As Site manager you will:

  • Alongside the Senior Leadership Team, be responsible for the supervision of children entering and exiting the school site and ensuring gates are opened at the correct time and locked securely.
  • Support school staff with the management and maintenance of lunchtime resources.
  • Effectively supervise and support cleaning services.
  • Work on own initiative and to demonstrate the ability to solve unexpected or new problems in a methodical, efficient manner.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks in a professional manner with health, safety and safeguarding at the fore.
  • Learn new skills and expand current skills and pass on knowledge and techniques to others.
  • Demonstrate good general interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Deal with conflicting demands and work flexibly.
  • Be a key player in ensuring the high standards of compliance are maintained and that facilities are safe and the best that they can be.
  • Be able to carry our building repairs.
  • Work closely with the Head Teacher, the Trust Director and the Trust Central Team, focussing on delivering high quality and safe learning and teaching environment.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety that is essential to this role as well as being able to communicate effectively.

The Good Shepherd Primary Catholic Voluntary Academy opened in 1951. Located in Woodthorpe, Nottingham, it is a larger than average primary school, serving more than 400 children in the area.
