School Site Officer

Full Time and Permanent

30 OR 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Monday to Friday

07:00 – 13:00 no break, OR 07:00 – 14:30 with ½ hour unpaid break (During school holidays, times will differ and be more flexible in agreement with management)

In addition, there will be a requirement to provide lettings support during evenings and weekends, as and when required. Overtime payment will be available for these hours, in accordance with the school’s policy.

As a member of our small site maintenance team you will the school site whilst ensuring a safe learning environment for our students.

You will be responsible for unlocking the school site in the morning and ensuring that all areas of the site are available for use. During the day, you will be responsible for the general daily upkeep of the site, along with general portering duties. Additionally, you will also act as a joint key holder, undertaking lettings out of school hours.This post involves manual handling and therefore a good level of physical fitness is required. Being comfortable working at height is advantageous. Previous experience of working in a school is desirable, but not essential.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of commitment with excellent attendance and punctuality and be willing to actively seek to develop their own learning.

This post would be suitable for someone who lives within the vicinity of the school.
