What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will work with us to provide a great environment for our children, staff and visitors by being friendly and approachable and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the site. The ability to form good working relationships with adults and children, together with some IT knowledge and the ability to learn about systems related to the running and organisation of the school, such as Fire and security systems, plant room equipment etc are key for this role.

You will:

  • Be flexible in your approach to working
  • Have a good understanding of Health and Safety procedures/compliance
  • Be self-motivated, trust worthy and proactive
  • Work effectively and supportively as a member of a team and also have the confidence and ability to act on your own initiative, dealing with unexpected problems that may arise

  • Have a positive outlook and a good work ethic, taking pride in your work
  • Have good communication skills
  • Have a facilities background and/or had previous experience of working in a school environment
