Site Supervisor job summary
Rowan Gate Primary School is seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Supervisor to join our team. This vital role supports the School in ensuring our school premises are safe, secure, and well-maintained, providing an environment that supports high-quality education. We are a multi site School, with a current site team of 3 people. The successful candidate will be expected to work in conjunction with the Senior Site Supervisors and Site Supervisor to manage whole school site issues under the management of the School Business Manager.
This role is required due to the growth of the School's sites and will be predominately based at our Wellingborough site (this may be subject to change). There will be occasions where the successful candidate will be required to work at our other School sites supporting the rest of the Site team as required. There may be the need to travel between the sites during the working day.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the security of the school buildings and grounds
- Operate and maintain heating and energy systems
- Carry out minor repairs, porterage, and grounds maintenance
- Supervise cleaning staff and maintain hygiene standards
- Manage external lettings and ensure facilities are ready for use
- Respond to emergency situations and out-of-hours callouts
- Maintain positive relationships with staff, pupils, and visitors
We are looking for individuals with a good level of literacy and numeracy, experience in building maintenance and small project management. The successful candidate needs to have the ability to carry out manual tasks such as lifting, climbing, moving items.
The role is a full time (37 hours) post working Monday through to Friday over 52 weeks of the year. Daily working hours will be open to negotiation but there is an expectation that all job holders will be able to start work at 7.15 am at the latest and be available for emergency call-outs out of school hours.
