G6.15 – 18 Pro Rata Actual Annual Salary £21,074 – £23,267
We are seeking to appoint a Sixth Form Administrator who will also provide support and guidance as a mentor to our students. Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School is a very successful selective girls’ grammar school, which consistently achieves high standards of both attainment and progress.
The post holder will help support the management of the 300+ sixth form students, combining both administrative and mentoring roles to ensure smooth progression in the sixth form and then beyond into further/higher education or a career. The role will include
• Support for the recruitment, selection and induction of new students
• Administration of the attendance monitoring system and sixth form web pages on the school’s website
• Co-ordination of a new sixth form enrichment programme
• Preparation and assistance with the delivery of careers and guidance
• Pastoral, social and academic welfare monitoring
The person appointed will have excellent numeracy, IT, interpersonal and written communication skills as well as an understanding of the post-16 curriculum. They will be organised, self-motivated and a good team player and should have experience of working effectively with this age group. Strong time management, work ethic and the ability to prioritise work in a busy environment are essential.
The successful applicant will be able to work flexibly, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with young people, use their own initiative and work under pressure within a very successful pastoral team.
