Job description

The primary objective of this role is to provide professional and curriculum leadership for Sociology and to ensure excellent outcomes for students in the subject area.

Other subjects: we will also consider individuals who may be interested in a Religious Education (KS3 and 4)/Sociology Subject Leader post (KS5 only). Candidates who opt for this should make this clear on their application form.

Relevant specialist qualifications and experience in your subject specialism, with the ability to teach at all key stages and all abilities.

Essential skills and experience

Proven excellence as a Sociology classroom practitioner at secondary level across the ability range.

Proven track record in improving teaching and classroom practice, bringing about specific improvements for the school by constantly striving for excellence.
