We are looking for an innovative Special Education Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator

The Role:
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a confident and dedicated SEND specialist to play a pivotal role leading, developing and supporting practice for pupils with SEND in our Academy.

The successful SENDCo will ensure access to the curriculum for all pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within the academy and will be responsible for the effective co-ordination and identification of need, appropriate intervention and mentoring. You will also monitor and evaluate the impact of the interventions for all pupils requiring additional support.

About you:
You will be a qualified teaching practitioner with high professional standards. Able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills, you will be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and progress. You should have extensive knowledge of the SEND code of practice and either hold the NASENCO award or be willing to work towards it.
