SENDCo required for September 2024

TLR 1b, with the possibility of a 1c for a suitably experienced, exceptional candidate

The role

We are looking to appoint an outstanding SENDCo to lead all aspects of the SEN departments in both Reepham High School & College (RHSC) and Litcham All Through School (LAS). The two schools already work closely in many ways having shared an Executive Headteacher over the last few years. The new SENDCo will play a high profile and vital part of the schools’ development, ensuring all pupils’ additional needs are met fully and effectively throughout their time with us. Unusually, this role offers the successful applicant the opportunity to work over all Key Stages, from EYFS to Year 13.

Each school has its own Deputy and Assistant SENDCo as well as its own team of LSAs and HLTAs. Please visit the schools’ websites to find out more detail about the schools and the quality of service provided.

We believe this role offers an ambitious SENDCo genuine professional development opportunities and the chance to join a Trust at a point of growth within the SEN / AP areas.

A detailed Job Description is included in the recruitment documentation. If you would like to visit either or both schools to find out more, or to arrange an informal conversation with the current post holder, please contact -

bhowell@synergymat.co.uk

This is a role across both schools. To apply, you can apply to either school; all applications will be considered in one shortlisting session.

Closing date 9am Tuesday 7th May.

Interviews will take place week beginning Monday 13th May.

Synergy Multi Academy Trust

Litcham School is an ‘all through’ school which is one of 15 schools within Synergy Multi Academy Trust. Other Synergy secondary schools are Reepham High School & College, Sheringham High School and Stalham High School. Synergy MAT grew significantly in September 2021 when the North Norfolk Academies Trust (NNAT) merged with Synergy. Synergy already enjoys effective and productive trust wide collaboration, which is particularly strong in its primary schools, and the merger has paved the way for the next stage of collaboration between secondary schools. We expect being part of this collaboration will offer excellent opportunities for professional development at all levels, but particularly at Senior Leadership level. This enhanced collaboration is now in its second year. To find out more about Synergy MAT, please visit its website www.synergymat.org.uk

Litcham School

Litcham School is an excellent school across both the Primary and the Secondary Phases. Outcomes have been strong for several years and our recently published Ofsted Graded inspection report judged the school to be Good in all areas. We firmly believe high quality Personal Development is the foundation of outstanding school–pupil rapport, pupils feeling a sense of belonging to and ownership of the school, positive school-community links and subsequent pupil progress.
