Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator job summary
The Special Needs Co-ordinator will be key in supporting the already established nursery team, with the co-ordination and delivery of high-quality education and care for children with special education needs.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual, with experience in working with children that have special educational needs, and their families.
The successful applicant will be professional, adaptable and dedicated to delivering high quality teaching and be able to adapt practices to meet children’s individual needs. They must also have the skills to manage a case load, and co-ordinate the support and referral process for children with SEND. They must have the skills to inspire and motivate a team of practitioners and support them with strengthening their inclusive practice and knowledge further.
As Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, they will support the team with implementing all safeguarding policies and practices.
We are looking for applicants with strong communication skills who will be able to build and maintain respectful and effective relationships with staff, children and their families. You will be motivated and resilient with excellent organisational, interpersonal and time management skills.

Contract type: Permanent, 52 weeks, shift pattern- early (8am-4.15pm) late (9.45am-6pm)
Salary: Grade I, SCP 22–26 (£31,364 - £34,834)
Annual leave: 26 days plus bank holidays
