Upwell Academy have an exciting opportunity for a part time SENCo to complement our talented, committed and happy SEND team. Ideally, we are looking for a SENCo to support within the existing team covering the whole academy. This position is fixed term to end July 2025 and is available to start as soon as possible.

We focus on their development through high-quality teaching that provides a rich, broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum, full of enjoyable and memorable learning experiences.

Role Purpose:
Whole-school responsibility in the area of SEND provision, transition and the tracking of vulnerable groups. To promote the aims and objectives of the Academy and maintain its philosophy of education.
Skills & Experience:
Degree or equivalent and QTS
Teaching Qualification
National SENCo/SEND Award
Classroom experience
Awareness of strategies available to improve the learning and achievement of all students
Ability to use a range of teaching and learning strategies
Knowledge of current issues and developments in education
Creative in problem solving and willing to take on and try new approaches and ideas
Behaviour Management Techniques
