Job role: SENDCo (special educational needs and disabilities coordinator)

What skills and experience we're looking for

Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
Understanding of what makes ‘quality first’ teaching,
Ability to evaluate effectiveness of SEN provision
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build effective working relationships
Good organisational and record-keeping skills
Teaching experience ideally across two key stages
Experience of co-ordinating SEN at whole-school level
Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning
Experience of conducting training/leading INSET
