Lady Zia Wernher is an outstanding Ofsted rated community primary special school educating children between the age of 3 and 11 years where standards of education are very high.
Our core values are respect, creativity, passion and independence.
Based on the Bedfordshire Hertfordshire border, we have a diverse staff and welcome applicants from all communities. Our grounds, buildings and surrounding areas offer great opportunities for creative learning.
Our pupils have severe learning difficulties, or profound and multiple learning difficulties. The designation of the school means that pupils typically have complex needs and medical needs requiring a high degree or differentiation and bespoke provision. In most cases our pupils will be working within and below the national expected levels for pupils of their age. We offer small classes, typically 8 pupils per class, working with large teams of support staff and additional NHS therapists.
If you share our values of teamwork, inclusion and innovation and have high expectations of what children can achieve we would like to hear from you. Interviews are scheduled for Thursday 16th June 2022.
The School is committed to safeguarding ad promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.
