Special Needs Teaching Assistant job summary
We have a full-time vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work with students in Aspen 2 who have a range of profound, severe and complex learning needs. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and team work skills to join our friendly and forward looking school. The successful candidate will be an experienced Teaching Assistant who has worked in a Special Needs school environment; alternatively, you may have a passion for supporting students with additional needs and be looking for your first opportunity to develop your skills. We have a varied and interesting professional development programme that shows the value we place in our support staff. We are looking for someone who will uphold our values of inclusivity and proactive response to communication and behaviour, as well as a commitment to safeguarding the welfare of young people. The working hours are 8.30-3.30, Monday-Friday (CPD runs on a Thursday and TAs are expected to stay until 5pm), term time only.
