Specialist Learning Support Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated Learning Support Team. You will be required to work very closely with one other assistant to provide care and facilitate learning opportunities to enable a super Year 11 student with complex physical and communication difficulties to achieve, be happy and to succeed within a mainstream environment.
The role offers an ideal opportunity for an individual who is passionate about meeting the needs of children with SEND and who would like to develop their specialist skills whilst working as part of a supportive team within a mainstream setting.
Experience of working with children with a physical disability, such as cerebral palsy, is preferable but not essential as high quality training will be provided.
This is a temporary, full time, term time only post in the first instance, until the end of the 2021 academic year, with the possibility of an extension for a further two academic years.
Hours are 32.5 per week x 38 weeks, there may be flexibility with start and finish times.
The salary for the post is £13,433pa.
