SPECIALIST PE TEACHER or QUALIFIED SPORTS COACH - Primary Schools
This is to provide specialist PE teaching across our two primary schools in Histon - Histon & Impington Park/Brook Primary Schools
Salary: Main/Upper National Teacher Pay Scale or Unqualified Teacher Scale
This is a full-time post, but we would also consider a part-time applicant who could do a minimum of 3 days per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational and dedicated PE teacher to work across our two Meridian Trust primary schools - Histon & Impington Park and Brook Primary Schools in Histon, Cambridge. This is a brilliant opportunity for a teacher with a PE background working to enhance our specialist primary PE provision. Our PE curriculum includes Games, Dance, Gym, Athletics, Health and Fitness, Fundamentals, Swimming and Outdoor Adventurous Activities. Our family of schools provides exceptional support and professional development opportunities for all of our staff. We welcome applications from teachers with a PE background/qualification and qualified sports coaches.

The ideal candidate:
- Is either a qualified teacher with a PE background or is a qualified sports coach with experience of teaching primary-aged children
- Willing to use innovative and creative teaching methods
- Possesses outstanding communication skills and works successfully in teams
- Has high expectations for themselves and cares about delivering high quality lessons
- A thorough understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
Histon & Impington Park and Brook Primary Schools are both busy and vibrant primary schools where we encourage children to flourish across the curriculum and beyond. Our expectations and high and we are proud of all that our children achieve. From September 2021, both schools converted to through primary schools and we now have a full cohort of Reception to Year 6 children. We are delighted to have received 'Outstanding' status for both schools in every category in our recent inspections in July and October of this year.
