Hours: Full time – PERMANENT
Required for September 2022
Eastwood Nursery School is part of the Wandsworth Federation of Maintained Nursery Schools and provides one of the two nursery resource bases for children with social and communication differences in the borough. Depending on the level of needs children spend differing amounts of time in a highly specialist teaching base within a mainstream nursery environment inside and outdoors. We are seeking a committed and motivated teacher with the knowledge and skills to lead a multi-disciplinary team, including dedicated term time support staff and work effectively with Speech & Language and Occupational Therapists.
You will be responsible for planning and implementing education programmes for the children and coordinating with specialist staff as necessary. You will need to liaise with a range of professionals, parents and colleagues in the Nursery School to ensure each child has a programme and appropriate opportunities to learn and play alongside mainstream children so that they make excellent progress from their starting points- especially in Communication & Language and Personal Social and Emotional Development in order to ensure that children are well prepared for the next stage in their education.
