Specialist Teacher job summary

Required for September 2022 – An exciting opportunity for a fixed term position for Specialist teacher to lead and develop an enhanced specialist provision within a mainstream school. Fixed term for 2 years initially with a possibility of this becoming permanent after this time.

Fixed term for 2 years. Full time.

The Governors of Middlemarch School are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to develop and lead our enhanced specialist provision from September 2022

‘The Bridge’ is a provision within our mainstream school for up to 8 pupils with an EHCP, communication and interaction difficulties aged 7-11 years.

Applicants should have recent experience of teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs, a working knowledge and clear understanding of strategies to support the learning of pupils with ASC knowing how to promote and assess their learning and progress.

We are looking for:

An enthusiastic, creative and forward thinking teacher with the ability to lead and motivate others. Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and resilience are essential. An ability to build excellent relationships with pupils, parents, staff and external agencies is paramount.
