What skills and experience we're looking for

In this role you will be working closely with the Early Years Inclusion Service to provide support for children within the early years and foundation stage with SEND related communication and interaction. We are looking for someone who is able to work across the early years graduated approach to inclusion as part of a multi-agency response. The successful candidate should have a detailed knowledge of how to develop children's speech, language and social communication needs and preferably experience of working as a SENDco. Our core principle is that families are at the centre of our work.

We are a maintained nursery school which caters for children from birth to five years. We run two provisions; one is a daycare provision for birth to two years and the other is a nursery provision. We specialise in developing staff who are highly skilled in managing children with a wide range of special needs as well as mainstream pupils.
We are part of the IDEAL Federation which includes an additional nursery school and a primary school as well as a PVI nursery. We are also running the Early Years Southwest Stronger Practice Hub for the southwest region.
We work closely with Plymouth Local Authority and manage the Speech and Language Education Team for the city through a service level agreement.
