Specialist Year 7 Teacher job summary

We are seeking to appoint a primary teacher with the skills and enthusiasm to teach a range of core subjects to our year 7 students. You will be well-qualified to deliver high-quality lessons and excellent pastoral care. It is an exciting time to join St Edmund’s Catholic Academy as we continue our journey towards outstanding.

Our extremely popular school is situated in leafy Compton Park, adjacent to the Wolves Academy training grounds, with its wonderful open fields and sports facilities.

We wish to ensure the academic transition from primary to secondary is as seamless as possible, by creating specialist year 7 teachers who teach from the CORE national year 7 curriculum.

All resources and materials are in place with a focus on delivering engaging lessons embedded with our CARE values. Excellent CPD support is available within a school where behaviour is excellent and all staff thrive.

You will:

Be able to teach (English, Maths, Humanities, RE , Science).

Be actively supportive of the Catholic values and beliefs of St Edmund’s and to make a positive contribution to the wider life of the school.
