What skills and experience we're looking for

Castle School are looking for an experienced and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to join the dedicated team and support children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

The role involves delivering targeted and specialist interventions, working closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the best possible support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify pupils’ speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, tailored to specific goals.
  • Develop and implement therapy plans in collaboration with school staff and families.
  • Provide advice to school staff to support inclusive communication strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
