Speech & Language Therapist job summary
We have a unique opportunity for a passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our supportive and dynamic therapy team based in an SEN school in Swindon.
We can offer opportunities to work with students from the age of 4 to 19 across the curriculum, within a range of learning environments including our on-site farm, sensory rooms and supporting functional skills off the school site. Crowdys Hill School can support you to develop your skills working with complex needs, autism and associated SLCN.
We have a well-established AAC provision within the school and work closely with our local service as well as our regional specialist providers AAC West in Bristol.
Our team includes three speech and language therapists, a specialist teacher and two therapy assistants. Both experienced and newly qualified therapists are welcome to apply and will be well supported. You will have opportunities to manage your own caseload, provide assessment and intervention and work closely with school staff and parents, to embed strategies across all communication environments through delivering regular training. You will have the opportunity to liaise with a variety of other professionals, with lots of scope for CPD.
We are very supportive of flexible working and can offer a term time only position, part-time or full-time, up to five days a week. Visits to the school are highly encouraged. Please contact Trudy Topp at the school to discuss the role further or arrange a visit.
