SPI - Teacher/Lecturer job summary
Creating Tomorrow College is a new Specialist Post 16 Institution (SPI) for students and young adult with SEND with an unswerving mission to address the employment deficit for adults with learning needs.
Latest statistics indicate that only 4.8% of adults with a learning need are in meaningful employment, while close to 80% would like to be. This statistic is both alarming and saddening.
We wholeheartedly believe that our students and young adults are more than capable of not only gaining and maintaining employment but also being an incredible asset to any employer. We recognise that to achieve this we need to not only upskill our students and young adults but also support employers to become disability confident so they are able to reap the rewards of an untapped workforce.
Creating Tomorrow College has a clear 5 year development strategy for growth in both student cohort and resource. The college will be based in North Northamptonshire for the 2021/22 academic year.
We are looking for an outstanding practitioner, who will have experience of working with young people who may have moderate to severe learning difficulties, social and communication learning needs and /or ASD and supporting them to gain the skills for greater independence in adulthood.
The post holder will play a key role in the development of our new provision, into its second year, as we gain Ofsted registration and grow our new college.

Positive and passionate about working with students with learning disabilities
