Fixed-Term for approximately 14-18 Months

£5.28 per hour

37 hours per week and 52 weeks per year


The Trust is looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective Sports and Holiday Camp support worker to complete a Community Activator L2 Apprenticeship. The right person must be a great sports advocate to help with the delivery of sports coaching and wider general activities within our wrap around school and Holiday Camp provisions.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting with the delivery of activities within our partner primary schools. To include curricular and extracurricular clubs.
  • Assisting in delivering School Games Competitions and School Sports Partnership events such as festivals, G+T Days and training events.
  • Assisting in facilitating coaching, sporting and wider activity sessions through setting up equipment, organising kit, monitoring ingoing’s and outgoing’s.
  • Assisting the Extended services manager in day to day tasks including project management and operations.
  • Assisting with wrap around clubs providing ad hoc cover in times of staff absence.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults with whom you come into contact with

 Training Provided:

The Community Activator L2 Apprenticeship Standard aims to equip individuals with highly transferable knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied across many different sectors.

It takes approximately 14-18 months to complete the apprenticeship and you will receive a blended method of learning including Tutor Coach visits, remote learning and attending online workshops, working towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications in:

Level 2 Community Activator L2 Apprenticeship Standard.

Qualification – Level 2 Certificate in Promoting Community Health and Wellbeing

Learning style – delivery sessions, virtual learning, masterclass, remote coaching

After successfully completing this sports coaching course, you’ll be awarded the Active IQ Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults – as well as a further Active IQ qualification of your choice. These include the Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing, and/or the Level 2 Certificate in Promoting Community Health and Wellbeing.
