What skills and experience we're looking for
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working in a primary school setting / working with children
- Proven track record of leading and managing a successful sports programme
- Excellent organizational and networking skills

What the school offers its staff
We are looking for a dynamic, highly-organised, enthusiastic Sports and Outdoor Learning HLTA to join our successful and friendly team. You will be passionate about sport and healthy living and an ambassador who ensures that all children at Alverton are able to lead physically and mentally healthy lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach sport (including gymnastics) across the school from Year R-6
- Organise and coordinate a wide range of sporting events and opportunities for pupils, both within and outside of the school
- Alongside the PE lead, network with external partners to seek new and exciting experiences for our pupils
- Support pupils have access to a diverse range of sports and physical activities
- Embrace an inclusive mindset and the expectation that all of our children can be successful in Sport and PE, including reaching the swimming expectations in the National Curriculum.
- Lead extracurricular clubs, both before and after school.
- Run forest / beach school sessions for pupils across the school (training can be provided)
