Sports Centre Assistant(s) job summary
Sports Centre Assistants are the first point of contact for our customers. They must be well-presented, courteous & approachable.
The main responsibilities of this role are to ensure all required equipment is ready for each booking, tidied away promptly afterwards and the cleanliness of the facilities are maintained to a high standard.
This is a physically demanding role which includes working at speed and moving heavy sports equipment.
The role also includes working outside in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Setting up, cleaning & packing away the equipment efficiently
Maintaining the facilities – Including; cleaning the fitness suite, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying bins, litter picking, refilling toilet rolls
Ensuring required facilities are prepared for bookings
Ensuring the site is clean, tidy & secure after bookings
Answering phone calls in a professional manner
Ensuring all customers sign in and out
Dealing with queries from customers
Monitoring the car park
Keeping all areas clean & tidy
Collecting lost property from around the site & storing accordingly
Making sure the provided uniform is presentable & worn for each shift
Shifts are available during Sports Centre opening hours; variable but typically:
Monday to Thursday | 17:30 – 22:30 |
Friday | 16:00 – 22:30 |
Weekends | 08:30 – 18:30 |
The Sports Centre is open year-round, including most school holidays (Closed Bank Holidays). |
The ideal candidate will be able to offer flexibility in their availability for shifts.
