What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an outstanding and passionate member to join our team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of a vibrant, holistic Forest School provision to support young people to thrive at Forest Way School.

You will work 37 hours per week for 200 days annually (includes 5 Training days and 5 days directed time that may include training, parents evening etc. in negotiation with the Headteacher and the Forest School Provision Team. This will include training, regular meetings, preparation, leading lunchtime outdoor learning clubs and after school clubs).

You must hold Level 3 School Practitioner Qualification and Paediatric Outdoor First Aid Certificate, or will have obtained this prior to the role starting, together with an NVQ3 or equivalent or higher relevant qualification. e.g. A Levels or relevant degree.

Who we are looking for:

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a pioneering Forest School provision, working alongside a small team of trained individuals.

You will support groups of pupils to access the woodlands and Forest School, including planning, preparation and development tracking using the framework.

You will have experience of delivering high quality Forest School to children and young people in a SEND environment, using a range of total communication strategies.
